What We Do
A fiscal intermediary agent acts on behalf of another party performing various financial and/or administrative services. Continuum Fiscal Services (CFS) is a fiscal intermediary agent that provides specific administrative support to individuals receiving services via self/participant-directed medicaid programs.
Self-directed services means that participants, or their representatives if applicable, have decision-making authority over certain medical care services. This includes taking direct responsibility to manage their services with the assistance of a system of available supports. Self-direction of services allows participants to have the responsibility for managing all aspects of service delivery in a person-centered planning process. Self-direction promotes personal choice and control over the delivery of waiver and state plan services and how services are provided.
In a self/participant-directed program, the participant or his/her legal representative is the employer. In these cases, CFS serves as the assigned agent to aid the participant to:
- Manage and deliver timely payroll of employees
- Insure the appropriate filing and tracking of payroll tax withholdings
- Administer employee benefits (medical, dental & saving plans)
CFS is dedicated to delivering quality services that empower and equip participants to be in control of their care and support.
